"Wow!!! We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay in your gorgeous home in Captiva! It was so perfect in every way and we can't wait to go back. We have even been talking with our friends about trying to make it down twice a year instead of just once. Thank you so much for sharing your home - my husband and I loved the beach decor and furnishings plus how well maintained and clean it was (this says a lot because we are very picky people). Captiva Island was also amazing - it was just as you say "paradise". There were so many quaint restaurants to choose from and so many different things to do and see all within short (5 minute) walking distance. Just walking down to the beach I saw pelicans and flamingos - we even had a four foot tall grey heron hanging out 10 feet from us on the beach while we were fishing one morning... "...we had a GREAT time on Captiva this past week! We can't thank you enough for opening your island home to us. EVERYTHING was perfect!! All the rooms were so spacious and so beautifully furnished. We spent LOTS of time on the screened porch!! Every day was packed w/activities -- fishing, biking, kayaking (thanks for recommending this activity -- it was great fun!), swimming, long beach walks, dining at home and dining out ... And the weather! What more can I say about the weather except that it was P-E-R-F-E-C-T!!! Record cold temps were hitting northern Minnesota as we were basking in record warm temps, for early March, on Captiva! Ahhhhhhhhh...................it doesn't get any better! "...We are home -- it's -6 and we have 3 inches of new snow. I certainly prefer the white sand to the white snow. We truly enjoyed our stay. Beachcombing was the activity of choice though we did bike ride, visit the Ding Darling Nature Center, see the Atocia museum and explore Sanibel on the trails. Our grandson enjoyed the trolley ride and dolphin cruise the best. Everyone was thoroughly satisfied and I imagine we will repeat the trip in the future. Thank you for your hospitality." B. & C. "...Thank you soooo much for letting us stay in your lovely house! It was fantastic and we would love to come back! The beach was the best part! We loved watching the dolphins just casually swimming up and down. We had never seen anything like that before! The pool was also brilliant - nice and big! We played tennis every day in the boiling heat! We also had some great meals in the local restaurants!  We went to Mucky Duck which was nice, the English fish and chips was splendid!  We also ate in The Green Flash, what a view! It's great to be eating a lovely meal and be able to see a great view!  The village cafe was superb! The food was fantastic! R C Otters was great fun and Rob had great fun with the "Get the ring on the hook" game! The sunsets were outstanding! One night when we went down on the beach to watch it we stood in amazement! It was perfect because just as it was going down two dolphin came and swam past right up close to the shore! It was breathtaking! Over all it was a fantastic holiday and the whole family enjoyed it!" "...We are all having trouble recovering from the jet-lag and returning to cold & wet London from sunny Captiva is no fun. We will have no problem remembering our truly remarkable time in your home, it certainly is paradise. My highlight was standing in the sea when a manatee swam right up to me, close enough to touch. And watching my four year old son and his new little girl-friend running naked hand in hand on the beach at sunset. We do plan to return and have already told many friends about your home. "...Captiva was wonderful...We all felt comfortable and very much at home in your house. I don't believe the house lacked anything. The location was perfect, close to everything!...We did a lot of shelling, walking (and jogging), swimming in the Gulf, eating, and drinking. Because the kitchen was so completely stocked, we ended up eating almost all of our meals in the house. We used the grills every evening for dinner, too...We also rented an 18-foot boat for a day. We really enjoyed that outing. We saw lots of dolphins and some manatees during the day, and we all came back with shells, shells and more shells...Thanks again for all your advice and personal service. "...Had a great time... - thanks so much. I would like to come back down. ...The house is lovely, comfortable. The water temperature in the pool was perfect and the pool was well maintained. We met some very nice people there - around the pool and at the beach. Your - what appears to be - an 'in residence' heron - came & joined us at the pool one day...wading along the ledge & jumping in occasionally to cool off. "Hi Toni! Our thanks to the hostess with the mostess!! It has been a joy renting from you. Our e-mails since last winter, the greeting card you sent before our trip, your phone call when we arrived, and finally the post-vacation gift all made it feel like we were staying at a friend's house. You're the best! Our trip was great...The house was lovely, clean, and very comfortable...I love your decor and choices of dishes etc....The weather was wonderful. We had evening showers a couple of nights but nothing major. There was always a nice breeze that cooled even the warmest afternoon. We ate at many of your favorite restaurants...rented kayaks one day at Ding Darling and explored Tarpon Bay...The pool water was heavenly. Now that the kids are older they really enjoyed being in the ocean. One day 2 adult manatees and a baby swam up to the shore and our daughter was able to pet them. Several times dolphins also came close to shore and swam around the kids. We saw a man, who was fishing from the beach one afternoon, catch a stingray. Who needs Discovery Cove in Orlando when you can have Captiva?! I can't wait to come back...we appreciate your thoughtfulness. "...Just wanted you to know that we had perhaps our best holiday ever at your place. The kids loved it, my wife loved it, we just couldn't get enough.
